free calendar · 30 days · 1 master prompt · 3 sub-prompts

AI content calendar for fitness coaches. The 30-day prompt, mapped to the funnel, and the finished month to copy.

A content calendar fails in one of two ways: it is a month of Reels that reach strangers who never see an offer, or a month of Stories that convert followers you stopped attracting. The fix is to plan by funnel stage and format at the same time, then let a model fill the thirty rows from your pillars, your clients' words and your voice. This page has the split, the master prompt, three sub-prompts for batch day and the monthly review, and a finished 30-day example so you can see what comes out.

the short version

An AI content calendar for a fitness coach is 30 rows split by funnel stage and format: about 50% discovery Reels (TOF), 35% trust carousels and Stories (MOF), 15% offer Stories and one honest offer post (BOF). The master prompt below builds it from your pillars and voice; the finished example shows the whole month.

the split

How does a 30-day content calendar map to the funnel?

A 30-day content calendar maps to the funnel by giving each format a stage: Reels do discovery at the top (about half the month), carousels and weekday Stories build trust in the middle (about a third), and Sunday Stories plus one honest offer post make the ask at the bottom (the rest). The split is what stops a month from being all reach and no offer, or all offer and no reach. Each stage also has the signal that tells you it worked. The MOF carousel slots have their own guide, twelve ideas by pillar with the seven-slide structure, in Instagram carousels for fitness coaches.

The funnel split of a 30-day content calendar for fitness coaches, by stage, share, format, job and signal
Stage Share Formats The job Signal
TOF · discovery ~50% 8 Reels a month, Monday and Friday Reach people who do not follow you. One problem, one fix, payoff at the end, a first line only this post could have. Watch time, sends
MOF · trust ~35% 6 carousels (Wednesday, Saturday) plus Tuesday and Thursday Stories Turn a viewer into a warm follower: reference content people save, a client story with permission, how you actually coach. Saves, profile visits, replies
BOF · offer ~15% Sunday Stories with one keyword ask, plus one honest offer post in week 4 Invite the next step without urgency: what the coaching is, who it is for, one keyword to message. DM conversations

Why those formats earn those signals, and the weekly cadence the calendar is built on, is in the Instagram algorithm in 2026 for fitness coaches. The funnel itself, from stranger to client, is in the online coaching sales funnel.

the master prompt

What prompt builds a 30-day content calendar in your voice?

The master prompt takes seven inputs (niche, three pillars, the offer and its keyword, the month's theme, three things clients said, one opinion, your voice card), fixes the weekly cadence and the funnel split, and returns a 30-row table plus a second table of the eight Reels with the specific detail each needs from you. Its rules ban question hooks, invented results and repeated topics, and it writes [NEEDS YOUR NUMBER] wherever a real figure belongs, so nothing in the month is made up.

30-day content calendar prompt (fill once a month)

When to use it: The last week of the month, for the month ahead.

What to paste in: Your niche, three pillars, offer and keyword, the month's theme, three client quotes without names, one opinion, and your voice card.

You are helping me, an online fitness coach, plan a 30-day Instagram content calendar. Your job is the plan and the first lines, in my voice, not motivational filler.

ABOUT ME
Niche and who I coach: [YOUR NICHE, e.g. strength coaching for women over 40]
My three content pillars, in my words: [PILLAR 1] / [PILLAR 2] / [PILLAR 3]
My offer and its keyword: [e.g. 1:1 online coaching, weekly check-ins; keyword OCTOBER]
This month's theme: [e.g. "the boring version works" / back-to-routine September]
Three things clients actually said this month (no names): [PASTE]
One opinion I hold that other coaches do not: [WRITE IT]
Voice style card: [PASTE YOUR CARD, or three captions you wrote]

CADENCE (fixed)
Mon Reel (TOF), Tue Stories x4 (MOF), Wed carousel (MOF), Thu Stories x3 (MOF), Fri Reel (TOF or point of view), Sat carousel or client story (MOF), Sun Stories x3 (BOF, one keyword ask). Week 4 Saturday is the honest offer post (BOF).
Split across the month: about 50% TOF, 35% MOF, 15% BOF.

OUTPUT
A table with 30 rows and these columns: Day number, Weekday, Funnel stage (TOF/MOF/BOF), Format, The idea with its first line in quotes, Story frames (or "none"), Which pillar it serves.
Then a second short table: the 8 Reels only, with first line, the specific detail or number each needs from me, and the payoff at the end.

RULES
1. Every first line names a specific thing (a number, a food, a lift, a client moment); none may start with a question or "ever feel like".
2. Use my clients' three quotes and my opinion somewhere in the month, marked where you used them.
3. Do not invent client results, numbers or quotes. Where a row needs a real number from me, write [NEEDS YOUR NUMBER].
4. Client stories are marked "with permission" and never describe a body.
5. BOF rows contain exactly one keyword ask each, no "limited spots", no "don't miss out".
6. Never use: journey, unlock, elevate, transformation, game-changer, crush, smash, empower, "let's go", lists of three, emoji walls.
7. Each carousel names what is on slide 2 so there is a reason to swipe.
8. No two rows may share a topic. If a row could be pasted into another coach's calendar, replace it.
9. Output the tables only. No introduction, no summary.

The voice card the prompt asks for is built once with how to train ChatGPT on your coaching voice. If you want ideas to seed the pillars before you prompt, the post bank organised by format is Instagram content ideas for fitness coaches.

the finished month

What does a finished 30-day content calendar look like for a fitness coach?

A finished 30-day calendar for a fitness coach has 8 Reels, 6 carousels, one offer post and Stories on about 20 days, each row with its stage, its idea and its first line, and one keyword per Sunday. The example below was generated from the prompt for an illustrative strength coach working with women over 40; the ideas, quotes and numbers are examples for the shape, not a real coach's month. Replace the details, keep the rhythm. The newsletter column of the calendar has its own list: 12 newsletter ideas for fitness coaches, each with a subject line pattern. The blank version of this grid, with the day, pillar and format columns pre-filled for three to five posts a week and a print or Google Sheets export, is the social media content calendar template.

27 · Sat BOF Single image or carousel The honest offer post: two places from [month], what it includes, the price on the link, one keyword. No urgency. share the post
28 · Sun BOF Stories x3 Answer the three most common questions people asked about the offer. Keyword again. soft close
29 · Mon TOF Reel "The thing you are worried about is not the problem." The bigger, boring variable, 30 seconds. none
30 · Tue MOF Stories x4 Month review: which post got sent most, what you learned, what next month is about. Poll for the next pillar. month review

Read the shape, not the ideas. Every Monday and Friday reaches strangers, every Wednesday and Saturday earns saves, every Sunday asks once. The client story on day 6 and the review numbers on day 14 are "with permission" and the offer on day 27 has no urgency in it. Fourteen feed posts, one keyword a week, and the same Reel never posted twice.

The Story rows use ten formats that earn replies, listed in Instagram story ideas for fitness coaches. The captions for the feed rows follow the 12 rules for captions that don't sound like AI, and the client story on day 6 follows the client transformation story template.

three sub-prompts

Which prompts turn the calendar into posts and adjust it from the numbers?

Three sub-prompts run the calendar: one turns a single row into a Reel script, a carousel and a Story set for batch day; one scripts the week's two Reels with a combined shot list so you film once (the first line of each Reel is the hardest part, and the 100-hook prompt writes a hundred to choose from); one reads the month's sends, saves, watch time and DM conversations and tells you what to keep as a series and what to drop. Together they cut the weekly content work to about four hours. For the visual on each slot, the AI image prompts guide covers covers, diagram slides and backgrounds with one shared style line. For a single caption from one calendar row, the Instagram caption generator does it in the browser with the not-AI rules built in. A carousel row becomes seven slides in the Instagram carousel template, word limits included.

1

One row into a Reel, a carousel and a Story set

When to use it: Batch day. You have a calendar row and want the three assets from one idea.

What to paste in: The row, the specific detail it needs, and your voice card.

Take this one content idea and produce three assets in my voice.

The idea (from my calendar): [PASTE THE ROW]
The specific detail or number: [e.g. 27 of 30 food logs / 16 kg to 20 kg goblet squat]
Voice style card: [PASTE]

Produce:
1. REEL SCRIPT, 30 to 45 seconds: first line on screen (names the specific thing), 3 to 5 spoken lines, the payoff last, one on-screen text per line. No "hey guys", no "in this video".
2. CAROUSEL, 5 to 7 slides: slide 1 a plain statement (no "5 secrets"), one idea per slide, max 14 words per slide, the surprising point on slide 2, last slide one plain ask. Then a 2 to 4 line caption naming slide 2.
3. STORY SET, 3 frames: frame 1 the personal take in one line, frame 2 one sticker (poll, question or this-or-that) with the exact sticker text, frame 3 the ask or the link.

Rules: no invented numbers, no "journey", no lists of three, no emoji unless my card has them, one keyword per set if there is an ask. Label anything you were unsure about.

2

The week's two Reels, scripted

When to use it: Sunday evening, to film Monday. Turns the week's two Reel rows into shooting scripts.

What to paste in: The two Reel rows, the numbers they need, and your voice card.

Script this week's two Reels for filming in one session.

Reel 1 row: [PASTE] Detail or number it needs: [ ]
Reel 2 row: [PASTE] Detail or number it needs: [ ]
Voice style card: [PASTE]
Where I film: [e.g. gym floor, kitchen, car]

For each Reel give me: the first line as on-screen text (specific, no question), a 4 to 6 line spoken script with one on-screen caption per line, the payoff line last, a shot list of what to film (3 to 5 shots, 3 seconds each), and a caption of 1 to 3 lines that names what the video is and who it is for. Then a combined shot list for both so I film everything once. No music suggestions, no hashtags unless I ask.

3

Monthly review: adjust next month from the numbers

When to use it: The last day of the month, with Insights open.

What to paste in: Sends, saves, watch time and DM conversations for each post, and which pillar each post served.

Here are my Instagram numbers for the last 30 days. Help me adjust next month's calendar from them, not from guesses.

Per post (date, format, pillar, sends, saves, average watch time if a Reel, profile visits, DM conversations started):
[PASTE THE LIST]

Do this:
1. Rank the posts by sends per post. Name the two formats and the pillar that earned the most sends and the one format that earned none.
2. Tell me which rows in the calendar to keep as a series next month (same format, same pillar, new specific detail) and which to drop.
3. Suggest the next month's theme in one sentence, based on the pillar that started the most DM conversations.
4. List three specific ideas for next month that follow from the best post, each with a first line.
Do not congratulate me, do not explain Instagram basics, and do not invent numbers I did not give you. Output as short numbered lists.

Where the keyword reply goes

Every Sunday row ends with one keyword. When someone sends it, the conversation that follows, the intake, the first check-in and the plan are the coaching, and in Coachway they sit on one client screen with payments through your own Stripe. The calendar fills the top; the platform is where the reply becomes a client. Plan the month once, batch the week in four hours, and let the numbers change next month rather than your mood.

questions people ask

Frequently asked questions about AI content calendars for fitness coaches.

How do I make a 30-day content calendar for my fitness coaching business with AI?

Give the model five inputs (your niche, three content pillars, your offer and its keyword, the month's theme, and your posting cadence) plus your voice card, and ask for a 30-row table with the day, the funnel stage, the format, the idea with its first line, and the story frames. The prompt on this page fixes the funnel split (about half discovery, a third trust, the rest offer) and bans invented results, so the calendar comes back usable rather than generic.

How many posts should a fitness coach plan per month?

About 14 feed posts in a 30-day month (8 Reels and 6 carousels, 3 to 4 a week) plus Stories on 20 or so days. That is the cadence Instagram rewards for reach and the one a coach with clients can actually sustain in about four hours a week of batching. Fewer, stronger posts beat daily filler; the calendar exists so the four hours produce fourteen posts instead of five.

What is TOF, MOF and BOF content for a coach?

Top of funnel (TOF) is discovery content for people who do not follow you yet: Reels that solve one problem and get sent to a friend. Middle of funnel (MOF) is trust content for people who follow but have not bought: carousels, client stories with permission, Stories that show how you coach. Bottom of funnel (BOF) is the offer: an honest spots-open post and a Sunday Story with one keyword ask. A month needs all three, in roughly a 50/35/15 split.

Should Reels, carousels and Stories have different jobs in the calendar?

Yes, and the calendar assigns them. Reels do discovery (watch time and sends), carousels do depth (saves), and Stories do conversion (replies and DMs) because only followers see them. Planning by format is how you avoid a month of Reels that reach strangers who never see an offer, or a month of Stories that convert followers you stopped attracting.

How do I keep an AI content calendar from sounding like every other coach?

Feed it your own material: your voice card, your three pillars in your words, three things clients actually said this month, and one opinion you hold that other coaches do not. Ask for first lines that could only be about your post, ban the usual words, and reject any row that could be pasted into another coach's calendar. The ideas are yours; the model is arranging them.

How long does it take to batch a week of content from the calendar?

About four hours: one hour to script the two Reels and two carousels from the calendar rows, two hours to film and build them, and an hour across the week for Stories, which are made live. The calendar removes the "what do I post" hour that usually gets spent every day; the sub-prompt that turns one calendar row into a Reel script, a carousel and a Story set is what makes the batch hour short.

How often should I regenerate or adjust the calendar?

Once a month, from the numbers. Feed the model your sends, saves, watch time and DM conversations per post from the last 30 days, and ask it to keep the two formats that earned the most sends, drop the one that earned none, and build next month around the pillar that started the most conversations. Regenerating from scratch every month throws away what you learned.

Can I use the same calendar for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram?

The Reel rows yes, re-recorded natively for each platform rather than reposted with a watermark. The carousel rows become photo posts or Shorts with slides read aloud. Stories are Instagram-specific; on other platforms their job is done by replies and pinned comments. Plan once, record per platform, never cross-post the same file.

Thirty rows, three stages, one keyword a week. The model arranges the month; the ideas, the quotes and the opinion in it are yours, which is the only reason anyone sends it to a friend.
