Coaching Package Pricing Calculator.
A coaching package price is your target hourly rate times the delivery hours each client takes per week times the number of weeks, with a commitment discount applied for longer terms. Anchor to EUR 60 an hour and 0.75 delivery hours a week, and a 4-week block is EUR 180 (about EUR 195 a month), a 12-week package at a 10 percent discount is EUR 486 (about EUR 175 a month), and a 24-week package at 15 percent off is EUR 918 (about EUR 166 a month). The longer terms trade a little revenue per delivery-hour - EUR 60, then EUR 54, then EUR 51 - for committed income and less churn. Start from your base rate, switch on the extras you include, and set your own discount ladder.

the short answer
To price a coaching package, multiply your target hourly rate by the delivery hours each client takes per week and the number of weeks, then apply a commitment discount for longer terms. At EUR 60 an hour and 0.75 delivery hours a week, a 4-week block is EUR 180 (about EUR 195 a month), a 12-week package at a 10 percent discount is EUR 486 (about EUR 175 a month), and a 24-week package at 15 percent off is EUR 918 (about EUR 166 a month). The longer terms trade a little revenue per delivery-hour - EUR 60, then EUR 54, then EUR 51 - for committed income and lower churn.
From an hourly rate to a package your capacity can carry.
Most coaches set package prices by feel, then discover the longer term barely pays once the check-ins, plan edits and messaging are counted. This calculator keeps an hourly rate as the anchor and builds each tier up from the real work behind it, so a 24-week commitment never quietly slips below what your time is worth. It runs the same handful of calculations for every tier:
Full (rolling) price = target hourly rate x delivery hours/week x weeks
Package price = full price x (1 - commitment discount %)
Effective monthly = package price / (weeks / 4.33)
Client saves vs rolling = full price - package price
Revenue / delivery-hour = package price / (delivery hours/week x weeks)
The 4.33 is the average number of weeks in a month (52 divided by 12), so the effective monthly price is a fair comparison against a rolling monthly plan. Two details keep the number honest. First, delivery hours count every included extra, not call time alone - a check-in review, meal-plan upkeep and messaging each add time per week, so a package that looks generous can carry more work than the price admits. Second, the revenue-per-delivery-hour figure shows exactly what a discount costs you: at the full 4-week rate you keep your whole target rate, and each rung of the ladder eases it down in exchange for a longer commitment.
Worked example: EUR 60 an hour, 0.75 delivery hours a week and a 0 / 10 / 15 percent ladder gives a EUR 180 4-week block, a EUR 486 12-week package and a EUR 918 24-week package. In effective monthly terms that is roughly EUR 195, EUR 175 and EUR 166 - the longer the term, the lower the monthly, which is the trade a client is buying. Your side of the trade is revenue per delivery-hour easing from EUR 60 to EUR 54 to EUR 51, offset by committed income and fewer re-sales. That balance sits at the centre of how to price online coaching packages.
How much to discount a longer commitment.
As a working guide, not a rule or a promise, a commitment discount ladder that sits between about 5 and 15 percent holds up well for most coaches. Keep the shortest or rolling term at full price - it is your reference point and the number every longer tier is measured against. Offer mid-single digits, roughly 5 to 10 percent, for a quarter-long commitment such as 12 weeks, and step up to around 15 percent for a half-year term such as 24 weeks. The rungs should feel like a clear reward for committing further, not a fire sale.
Why keep the ladder modest? Because a discount is paid entirely out of your revenue per delivery-hour, and the calculator shows it moving in real time. A longer term genuinely earns some discount: it locks in income, smooths cash flow, cuts the time you spend re-selling and gives results longer to land, all of which are worth a few percent. Past roughly 15 percent, though, the revenue you give up usually outruns the value of the extra commitment, and you end up training the same hours for a thinner rate. Set your own rungs in the calculator and watch the revenue-per-hour figure - the point where it drops below what your time is worth is your ceiling.
The extras that quietly sink a package price.
The first trap is pricing a package on call time alone. A weekly call feels like the product, so it becomes the price - and then the check-in reviews, meal-plan tweaks and daily messaging arrive for free. Switch those extras on in the calculator and watch the delivery hours climb: the same headline price now covers far more work, and your revenue per delivery-hour falls without a single number on the invoice changing. Every included extra is time, and time is the thing your price is really buying.
The second trap is stacking a discount on top of an already heavy package. A 24-week term at 15 percent off is a fine offer when delivery time is lean, but bolt on a meal plan and open-ended messaging and that same discount can drag your revenue per delivery-hour below your in-person rate. The fix is not always a higher price - it is fewer hours behind the package. Template the check-ins, reuse the plans and let the client app carry the messaging, and the revenue-per-hour figure climbs back up at the exact same price. Sanity-check the client side too: see what a committed client is worth over a full term with the client LTV calculator, and pressure-test how many leave early with your client churn rate before you count on the revenue.
Cut the hours behind each package, and the discount stops hurting.
Every extra you include is time, and time is what a discount eats into. Coachway is the operating system for online fitness and nutrition coaches: reusable plans, templated check-ins, a meal planner and a branded client app shrink the delivery hours behind every package, so a longer term keeps a healthy revenue per delivery-hour even with a commitment discount on top. It slots into your costs cleanly too: Coachway is EUR 69 a month with your first 5 clients included and every feature in, then EUR 9 per additional client, on a 14-day free trial that asks for a card so you keep going without a gap.

How do you price a coaching package?
Multiply your target hourly rate by the delivery hours each client takes per week and the number of weeks in the package, then apply a commitment discount for longer terms. Delivery hours means everything you actually spend: coaching or calls, check-in reviews, meal-plan upkeep and messaging. Example: at EUR 60 an hour and 0.75 delivery hours a week, a 4-week block is EUR 180, a 12-week package at a 10 percent discount is EUR 486, and a 24-week package at 15 percent off is EUR 918. The calculator also shows the effective monthly price and the revenue you keep per delivery-hour at each tier.
How much discount should longer coaching packages have?
A sensible ladder as coaching-business practice is roughly 5 to 15 percent, not a fixed rule or a promise. Keep the shortest or rolling term at full price, offer mid-single digits of around 5 to 10 percent for a quarter-long commitment such as 12 weeks, and go up to about 15 percent for a half-year term such as 24 weeks. The discount is a fair exchange for committed income, smoother cash flow and less re-selling, but past roughly 15 percent it usually erodes your revenue per delivery-hour faster than the longer commitment is worth. Set your own rungs above and watch how each one moves the revenue you keep per hour.
What is a good length for a coaching package?
Most online coaches build a short entry term, a flagship term and a long commitment - commonly 4, 12 and 24 weeks - so a client can start small and commit further once results show. A quarter, or 12 weeks, is the usual flagship because it is long enough to see real change and short enough to feel manageable. Match the lengths to your own program rather than the labels here: the maths is the same whether you call a tier 8 weeks or 16, since the price is driven by delivery hours per week times the number of weeks.
Should I charge per session or per package?
Per session ties your income to hours in the room and suits hands-on, in-person work. A package charges once for a fixed term of programming, check-ins and support, which lets a client commit and pay ahead while you plan your capacity around known revenue. Packages also let you offer a commitment discount that per-session pricing cannot. This tool takes your target hourly rate as the anchor and turns it into package prices, so you keep the discipline of an hourly rate while selling the certainty of a term.
How do I account for check-ins and meal plans in the price?
Treat every included extra as a time cost per week and add it to your delivery hours. A weekly check-in review might take 0.15 hours, meal-plan upkeep another 0.1, and messaging support another 0.1 - on top of your core coaching time. The calculator adds the extras you switch on to the total delivery hours, so the price reflects the real work behind the package rather than call time alone. If an extra pushes the price higher than clients will pay, that is the signal to template it, reuse it or price it as a separate add-on.
This calculator is a planning aid, not financial advice. It works forward from your inputs and does not model tax, payment fees, refunds or installments - treat the numbers as a starting point for your own pricing decisions, and revisit them as your delivery time and rate change.
