Hevy Coach's help center documents no export for programs, client lists, chat or progress pictures. Clients can export their own workouts and measurements from the Hevy app and keep their history after you remove them. Your plan is billed through Paddle and clients pay Hevy nothing, so plan program rebuilds and client billing separately.
Published by Coachway. The product instructions below come from the linked official documentation, checked September 25, 2026. They describe available exports, not a completed test of your account or a guarantee that another platform can import the files.
What you can export from Hevy Coach
Programs and client records: no documented export
The Hevy Coach help center has articles on the Program Library, clients, chat, progress pictures, teams and billing. None of them describes exporting programs, routines, client lists, chat history or progress pictures. Its support address is [email protected].
Ask support in writing what it can provide for each of those records and keep the reply. If nothing is available, plan to rebuild your programs in the destination while your Hevy Coach account is still active. Hevy says most features, including creating and managing programs, viewing data and subscription management, are only available in the web app, so do this work there rather than in the coach mobile app.
Hevy's assign workflow uses buttons named "Copy Program to Client" and "Copy Workout to Clients". Write down which program each client is on and check it in the client's profile, not only in the library. That list is your rebuild checklist and your record of what did not move.

Client workout history: each client exports from the Hevy app
Your clients train in the consumer Hevy app, and their workouts sit in their own Hevy accounts. The Hevy app help center documents an export with separate options for measurements data and workout data, and says the export can be sent to a coach or put into a spreadsheet.
Each client runs this export from their own Hevy account; it is not a bulk export from your coach account. The export steps name workout and measurement data only; they do not state the file format or say whether progress pictures are included. Ask one client to export first, open the file and agree how the rest will send theirs. Then ask the destination what it can do with it. A readable file is an archive, not proof of an import.
- In the Hevy app, open Profile, then Settings.
- Choose Export & Import Data, then Export Data.
- Select Export Workouts, and Export Measurements if you also need body data.

Personal data: the privacy policy request
The privacy policy published for hevycoach.com lists, in its GDPR section, a right to obtain a copy of your data and to receive it "in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format". The owner contact named in the policy is [email protected].
This is a data-rights request, not a documented product export, and the policy frames these rights as applying to the extent permitted by law. It does not establish that programs, routines or client records come back in a form another coaching app can use. The policy also says these rights cannot be enforced after the retention period expires, so make any request before you delete your account.

Hevy Coach bills you through Paddle, not your clients
The Hevy Coach help center and pricing page do not mention Stripe. The pricing page says coach subscriptions are paid by card and processed by Paddle.com, and that clients do not pay anything: Hevy charges the coach, and clients are coached through Hevy for free. The help center's payments article covers your own billing details, payment history and subscription under Settings, Plan & Billing.
Because Hevy Coach documents no way to charge your clients, check where your client charges actually run. Cancelling Hevy Coach is a separate step from changing them. Decide whether that billing stays where it is or moves to the destination, and record each client's next charge date and prepaid period first. If you move to Coachway, its built-in payments pay out to your own Stripe account and carry 2.4% per transaction. Stripe documents a separate process for migrating existing subscriptions; do not assume a coaching app runs it for you.
Hevy describes cancellation timing in two places. The pricing page says you can cancel your monthly subscription at any time before the end of the billing period and that it renews each month. The terms say terminations take effect 30 days after Hevy receives the notice. Ask support which applies to your account and send notice early enough to cover your planned overlap.
During the overlap, the pricing page says you can downgrade by removing clients and downgrading your plan. On a team, Hevy says the owner has sole control over billing, so the owner has to make these changes.

Removing a client ends their coach tab; deleting your account is irreversible
Hevy says a client you delete loses the coach tab and with it access to your program. They keep their workout history, can keep logging on a free account that allows up to four routines, and should still be able to save past workouts as routines. Move each client's current program to the destination before removing them from Hevy Coach.
Because removed clients can keep logging in Hevy, tell each client which app to use from their switch date. Otherwise new sessions can end up split across two apps.
Deleting your coach account removes your profile, programs, routines, client relationships, settings and associated content, and Hevy calls this irreversible. It also cancels the paid subscription from the next billing month. Finish every save, rebuild and data request first.
Team reassignment and the migration article stay inside Hevy
Hevy Coach Teams let admins remove and reassign clients between coaches on the same team. That is a reassignment inside Hevy Coach, not an export to another app.
The help center's migration article covers moving into Hevy Coach from another platform. It says there is currently no easy way to migrate all client data and program information and points to support. It does not describe moving out, so do not read it as an export option.

Before you cancel Hevy Coach
- Email [email protected] for the export options for programs, client lists, chat and progress pictures, and keep the reply.
- List each program and each client's assigned copy, then rebuild and test a representative one in the destination.
- Ask clients who need their history to export workouts and measurements from the Hevy app, and open one file first.
- Confirm where your client charges run and, if billing changes, the last old and first new charge date for each client.
- Send cancellation notice with the 30-day term in mind, and delete the account only after clients are active in the destination.
Choose the switch date after a sample migration passes. The required overlap depends on rebuild work, provider support, client availability and billing dates. Clear communication helps, but it cannot guarantee retention or repair missing data.
Use the full migration checklist and client message to plan each wave. If you are still evaluating the destination, use the software trial scorecard. Keep any sample shared for an initial assessment limited to what the provider needs.
Questions about leaving Hevy Coach
Can I export my programs from Hevy Coach?
The Hevy Coach help center does not document an export for programs, routines or client records. Ask support at [email protected] what it can provide, and plan to rebuild programs in the destination while your account is active.
Do my clients lose their workout history when I leave Hevy Coach?
Hevy says removed clients keep their workout history and can keep logging on a free account, but lose the coach tab and your program. They can export workouts and measurements from the Hevy app themselves.
Does Hevy Coach use Stripe?
Its help center and pricing page do not mention Stripe. The pricing page says coach subscriptions are processed by Paddle and that clients pay Hevy nothing. Check separately where your client billing runs before planning the move.
Considering Coachway? Bring a sample export and ask us which parts become editable plans, which need rebuilding, what remains an archive and how your existing billing would be handled. Agree the scope before inviting your clients. If you are still deciding whether to switch at all, the Coachway vs Hevy Coach comparison sets the two side by side.
The trial starts with a card held by Stripe and cancels under Billing before it renews, so you can run a few real clients in both tools before you move the rest.
