comparison · nordic coaching platforms

Best coaching software in Scandinavia: 8 platforms, side by side.

Coachway, Lenus, Zenfit, Beefit, PT Pro, Step2Fit, Trainero and CoachPlan are the platforms Nordic online coaches ask us about most. They are not eight versions of the same product. Some publish a price and let you sign up today; others sell a growth partnership or a demo, with terms agreed one coach at a time. This page sets out what each one publishes about itself, from its own website, terms and help centre, and says plainly where it publishes nothing.

By Markus Evers · Checked October 2026

How this comparison is made: we checked every platform's pricing and features against its own live website, terms and help pages in October 2026, and cite them. We build Coachway, so we flag it wherever it appears. Browse all platform comparisons.

the short version

Decide the model first, then the platform. Lenus and Beefit sell through an application or a demo, describe growth services on their own sites, and publish no price; Coachway's own growth partnership runs on a revenue share from 20% and down. If you want to see the price and start today, six Nordic platforms publish one: from about 10 clients Trainero and CoachPlan are the cheapest on paper, PT Pro has a free one-client plan, Step2Fit has the lowest paid entry price but a 3-month term after the trial, and Zenfit and Coachway sit higher. Coachway (our product) fits the coach who wants one per-client price with every feature, a client app in all four Nordic languages plus German and English, deep nutrition, and client payments landing in their own Stripe account.

at a glance

Eight Nordic coaching platforms on one screen.

Every figure comes from the vendor's own pricing page, terms or help centre, checked in October 2026. "Not published" means we could not find it on their site, not that it does not exist. Prices are shown in the currency each vendor publishes.

how to read this

Two kinds of platform, not one.

Partnerships and demo-led sales. You apply or book a demo, and no price is published. Lenus calls itself a partner for growth, and its partner terms say it "may operate on a revenue-sharing pricing model or use alternative pricing structures as specified in the Master Services Agreement or the applicable Services Agreement". Beefit's site offers a demo and its terms describe fixed, metered (often per active client) and mixed licences. Both describe account management or growth services as part of the offer. Where a revenue-sharing model applies, the split is set in the coach's agreement. Coachway sits in both camps: a platform-only subscription with a published price, or a growth partnership on a revenue share from 20% and down, depending on the size of the coach.

Self-serve software with a published price. You sign up, see the price first, and pay a subscription plus, on most platforms, a fee on client payments you take through it. Coachway, Zenfit, PT Pro, Step2Fit, Trainero and CoachPlan all work this way, though their price models differ: per client, by client band, by number of plans, or flat capacity tiers.

One ownership note, because it affects the contract you sign: Zenfit says it is "part of Lenus eHealth", Lenus's partner terms say they also govern the Zenfit and Beefit platforms, and Lenus's 2025 annual report records Beefit's company merging into Lenus eHealth ApS on 1 January 2025. Lenus's partner terms name the Lenus, Zenfit and Beefit platforms; beefit.io also publishes its own coach terms, which name Benefit Technologies ApS. If you are weighing a revenue-share model against a flat price, our guide to an online coaching platform without revenue share walks through the maths.

*Zenfit Pro is our reading of "First 20 clients are at the Standard price": EUR 306 plus EUR 20 per client above 20. Zenfit publishes no worked example. Coachway's figures follow EUR 69 for the first 5 clients plus EUR 9 per extra client (DKK 499 + 65, NOK 799 + 99, SEK 749 + 99). Step2Fit's online-coach track is priced by quote; the figures shown are its published personal-trainer track. Trainero caps the total number of plans you create (200 on Premium, 600 on Ultra), not clients.

Read honestly, Coachway is not the cheapest platform here at any client count, and at 10 clients Zenfit is slightly cheaper too. From 20 clients Coachway costs less than Zenfit. Against Trainero, CoachPlan and PT Pro the gap is large, so the fair question is what the difference buys: you can check the per-client maths at your own client count on Coachway pricing, or read the full coaching software cost guide.

Lenus

Lenus eHealth ApS offers a growth partnership that coaches apply for, rather than a self-serve plan. Its site and terms describe a Key Account Manager, local growth teams, a website integrated with the platform and an optional inbound sales service. The product covers training plans, meal plans with a recipe library, a food diary with barcode and label scanning, check-in templates, a progress page, and chat with video and audio, broadcasts and client groups. Coach-branded apps are listed on Google Play under the developer Lenus.io. There is no public price list: its terms say Lenus "may operate on a revenue-sharing pricing model or use alternative pricing structures", with fees, term and notice set in a Master Services Agreement.

It publishes self-serve prices: Basic EUR 106 a month for up to 10 clients, Standard EUR 306 for 10 to 20, and Pro at EUR 20 per client above 20, with the first 20 at the Standard price, ex tax. The trial is 14 days with all features and no card, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee. Its meal planner advertises 45,000+ recipes, the workout side "700+ HD workout videos", and the app can show your logo and colour palette. The platform covers a drag-and-drop workout builder, a meal planner with "1000's of recipes", check-ins and questionnaires, alerts for missed payments or check-ins, and chat with automated messages and groups. PT Pro

PT PRO AS, based in Asker, builds for the Norwegian PT and nutrition market, with gym-chain partners such as EVO and Feel24 and the AFPT PT school. Prices are in NOK including VAT: a free plan with one test client, PT Start NOK 699 a month for 2 to 10 clients, PT Deltid NOK 999 for 11 to 20, and PT PRO NOK 1,499 for unlimited clients. There is no binding period. Client payments run through Stripe, and PT Pro says the card fee (2.7% + NOK 2 on Norwegian and EU cards) goes to Stripe, not to PT Pro. It has built-in video calls, a booking calendar with client self-booking, three meal-plan types on the Norwegian food composition table, and AI photo analysis of meals. The app is available in Norwegian, English and Swedish.

Step2Fit

Step2Fit Oy (Finland; its CEO began designing the service in 2017) calls itself the leading all-in-one coaching tool in the Nordics and serves personal trainers, online coaches, gyms and functional-training centres. Its personal-trainer track publishes low entry prices ex VAT: Mini EUR 11.90 (3 clients), Lite EUR 29.90 (8), Pro EUR 69.90 (25) and Elite EUR 129.90 (50). After the trial the subscription runs for a fixed 3-month term, then continues with 1 month's notice. Trainero

Trainero Oy, Vantaa, has been running since 2008. It prices by the number of plans you create rather than by client: Premium EUR 30 a month (up to 200 plans) and Ultra EUR 60 a month (up to 600 plans), each with unlimited clients, groups and co-trainers; a white-label plan with your own-brand client app is priced by sales. The trial is 14 days. Its built-in online store pays you directly through your own payment provider, with integrations including Stripe, PayPal, Swish, Klarna and Paytrail. It lists 2,000+ exercises with video, 4,000+ food items, groups with a discussion wall, and a booking calendar. Its client-app page names Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish among its interface languages under a "38 languages" heading; its help centre gives a figure of 15 for the client interface.

CoachPlan

Coachplan ApS is a Danish team serving personal trainers, online coaches and physiotherapists. It publishes four flat tiers with every feature on each: Starter DKK 249 a month (1 trainer, 10 clients), Grow DKK 449 (3 trainers, 35 clients), Pro DKK 749 (6 trainers, 100 clients) and Unlimited DKK 1,999. The trial is 30 days with no card, and plans run month to month. It takes 1.5% of client payments on top of Stripe's fees on DKK and EUR accounts; its English site says SEK, NOK and CHF accounts pay 2.5% for now. The branded client app with your logo and colours is included on every plan and installs from the browser to the home screen rather than from an app store. It has 1,200+ exercises, a Danish food database, group chat, and client journals built for Danish physio record-keeping.

the two details that decide it in the nordics

Your client's language, and the terms on leaving.

Language. A Swedish client reading a Danish app, or a Finnish client reading English, is a small friction every single day. Coachway's client app covers all four Nordic languages plus German and English, chosen per client. Trainero lists all four Nordic languages. PT Pro lists Norwegian, English and Swedish. CoachPlan describes a Danish interface. Zenfit's site says "8 languages supported", Step2Fit localises its website to all four Nordic languages without listing app languages on its site, and Lenus and Beefit do not list app languages on their own websites. We have used vendors' own websites here, not App Store language labels. See which languages Coachway supports in detail.

Leaving. Section 3.9 of Lenus's partner terms, which Lenus says also govern Zenfit and Beefit, says coaches agree "not to transfer, delete, or solicit Clients to leave the Platform". Its termination section says the same applies to existing clients during the notice period, and that new clients may be onboarded to a different platform. Step2Fit binds you for 3 months after the trial. CoachPlan and PT Pro run month to month. Coachway's terms give you 30 days after termination to export your data. Read each platform's termination and client-data terms before you sign. If you are already planning a move, our guide on switching coaching platforms covers the order of operations.

if you only read one section

Which Nordic coaching platform should you choose?

  • You want a partner to help you find clients. Coachway's growth partnership (revenue share from 20% and down).
  • You want a low monthly bill for many clients. Trainero (EUR 30 or 60, unlimited clients) or CoachPlan (DKK 749 for 100 clients).
  • You are a Norwegian PT mixing gym and online work. PT Pro, for booking and live video calls in one tool.
  • You are a Finnish PT starting with a handful of clients, or want your own white-label app. Step2Fit, if the 3-month term suits you.
  • You coach 1:1 online across the Nordics and want nutrition, check-ins, chat and payments in one place, in each client's language. Coachway, with a price that grows only with the clients you have.

Price is half the sum; your time is the other half. The subscription is the smaller cost for most coaches. The bigger one is the hours a client takes each week. By our own estimate, Coachway's one-screen workflow brings a weekly check-in review to 3 to 5 minutes, a meal plan to about 8 and a training program to about 5, because the check-in, chat, history and plan sit on one screen. At 30 clients, every minute saved per check-in is half an hour back each week. Whatever you pick, time one week of check-ins on a trial before you decide.

Still weighing it up? Our framework for how to choose an online coaching platform turns this into a shortlist, and the wider best coaching software in Europe guide adds the non-Nordic options.

the real difference

Features are not the deciding factor. The workflow is.

A longer feature list is easy to win on a comparison table. It is not the question that decides your week. What decides it is how fast you can run the actual work, week after week: following up a client, sending video feedback, and reviewing a weekly check-in. Coachway is built from working hands-on with online fitness coaches scaling past 1,000 clients, where shaving minutes off every client interaction is the whole game.

The entire product is tuned for one outcome: handle more clients, at a higher satisfaction rate, in less time. A smoother workflow is not just cheaper for you, it is a better experience for the client, and that is what keeps clients paying for longer.

check-ins

Review a weekly check-in in 3 to 5 minutes, with notes, data, photos, and exercise history in one view.

follow-up

Messages, video feedback, and plan tweaks happen from one tab, not six different tools.

automation

Automatic reminders run the cadence, and smart send holds a message back if the client has an unread message, so the experience stays personal.

What is the best coaching software for online coaches in Scandinavia?

It depends on how you want to pay for it. If you want a published self-serve price, the Nordic options are Coachway (Denmark), Zenfit (Denmark), CoachPlan (Denmark), PT Pro (Norway), Step2Fit (Finland) and Trainero (Finland). Lenus and Beefit sell through an application or a demo and publish no price; Lenus's terms put pricing in a signed Master Services Agreement, and both describe growth services on their own sites. We build Coachway, so weigh our pick accordingly: it fits a coach who wants one per-client price, a client app in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, German and English, deep nutrition, and client payments in their own Stripe account.

How much does Lenus cost?

Lenus does not publish a price list on its website. Its Terms of Service for Coaching Partners say Lenus "may operate on a revenue-sharing pricing model or use alternative pricing structures as specified in the Master Services Agreement or the applicable Services Agreement" (lenusehealth.com, checked October 2026). Where a revenue-sharing model applies, the split is set in the coach's agreement with Lenus. For comparison, Coachway offers a platform-only subscription from EUR 69 a month, or a growth partnership on a revenue share from 20% and down, depending on the size of the coaching business.

Are Lenus, Zenfit and Beefit the same company?

They are linked. Zenfit says it is "part of Lenus eHealth". Lenus's Terms of Service for Coaching Partners say they also govern the Zenfit and Beefit platforms. Lenus's 2025 annual report records Beefit's company, Benefit Technologies ApS, merging into Lenus eHealth ApS on 1 January 2025, beefit.io's coach terms name Benefit Technologies ApS as the contracting party.

Which platforms take a percentage of my client payments?

Published rates: Zenfit takes 3.6% of client payments through the platform, Coachway takes 2.4% on payments run through Coachway (paid into your own Stripe account), and CoachPlan takes 1.5% on top of Stripe on DKK and EUR accounts (2.5% on SEK, NOK and CHF accounts for now, per its English site). PT Pro says the card fee goes to Stripe, not to PT Pro. Lenus's terms allow a revenue-sharing model with the split set in each coach's agreement, and Beefit's terms allow a percentage and/or fixed fee without publishing a rate. Coachway's growth partnership, for coaches who want growth help, is a revenue share from 20% and down. Step2Fit and Trainero do not publish a platform fee.

Which is the cheapest Nordic coaching platform?

It depends on your client count. Step2Fit has the lowest paid entry price (EUR 11.90 a month for 3 clients, with a 3-month term after the trial) and PT Pro has a free plan for one client. From about 10 clients, Trainero (EUR 30 or 60 a month with unlimited clients, capped by the number of plans) and CoachPlan (from DKK 249 a month for 10 clients) have the lowest published prices in this group. Coachway is not the cheapest: EUR 114 a month at 10 clients. What each price includes differs, so compare the cost table on this page at your own client count.

Which coaching apps work in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish?

Coachway's client app runs in all four plus German and English, and each client picks their own. Trainero lists all four on its client-app page. PT Pro lists Norwegian, English and Swedish. CoachPlan describes a Danish interface on its Danish site and runs an English site too. Zenfit's site says "8 languages supported". Step2Fit localises its website to all four but does not list app languages on its site, and Lenus and Beefit do not list app languages on their own websites.

Can I take my clients with me if I leave?

Read your contract before you sign. CoachPlan keeps data available for export for 30 days after your plan ends. Coachway's terms give you 30 days after termination to export your data. Step2Fit binds new customers for 3 months after the trial, then 1 month's notice.
