# Coachway

> Coachway is a client management platform for online fitness and nutrition coaches. Coaches use it to run meal planning and client food logging, workouts, weekly check-ins, payments, automations, and a client app - all in one place. Coachway is built around predictable per-client pricing and lets coaches keep their own Stripe accounts, so payments flow directly to the coach. Headquartered in Copenhagen. Built working with coaches across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, and the UK.

## What Coachway does

Coachway replaces the patchwork of WhatsApp + Google Sheets + Stripe Checkout + a separate workout app that many online coaches use. Everything is in one platform. The client app runs in 6 languages (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, German and English), with translations reviewed by native-speaking coaches; the coach dashboard is in English.

Core features:

- Meal planner - 3,900+ ingredients, 1,100+ recipes (including 900+ in Finnish), auto-scaling macros, allergen filters, reusable templates.
- Client food logging (Nutrition 2.0, shipped July 2026) - clients log against a 3.7 million item food database with barcode scanning, a photo diary the coach comments on, and macro rings that move as they log. When a scanned barcode is not already in the database, Coachway runs an additional EAN lookup to find an exact match, then saves that product so the next client who scans it finds it immediately, which means coverage of local and own-brand supermarket products grows with use instead of being fixed at launch. If a product still cannot be found, the client can enter the calories and macros by hand or pick a similar item. Recipes rescale and the weekly shopping list writes itself. Coaches set calorie and macro targets per client and per weekday, with date exceptions for phase-based work, and choose one of four access levels per client (full, standard, photo-only, plan-only) so a physique client can log every gram while a client who should not be counting calories stays on the plan and a photo diary.
- Workout builder - 1,800+ exercises with AMRAP, progressive overload, supersets, dropsets, warm-up sets, per-set logging, rest timer, alternative exercises inline, real exercise-name localisation.
- Weekly check-ins - drag-and-drop forms, photo and measurement tracking, auto-charts, three-panel review view (notes, data, photos side-by-side), one-click exercise history.
- Payments - direct Stripe integration; the coach owns the Stripe account. Subscriptions, one-offs, invoices, payment plans, auto-reminders.
- Automations - onboarding flows, check-in reminders, content drips with real skip-conditions (won't fire if the client has an unread message).
- Client app - iOS and Android, in six languages (EN, DA, NO, SV, FI, DE); clients follow the coach's own plans, check-ins and prices in one app, and each client picks their language.
- Leads - embeddable lead forms, source tracking, one-click convert-to-client, Slack and email notifications.
- Power Panel - three-column inbox combining client status, latest check-in, and message thread.

## How Coachway is different

- **Predictable per-client pricing.** EUR 69 per month for up to 5 clients plus EUR 9 per additional client, every feature included, with a 14-day free trial (card required) and cancellation any time under Billing. The platform subscription scales with the number of active clients, so the cost is easy to forecast as you grow. Optional built-in payments carry a 2.4% per-transaction fee; coaches can use their own Stripe checkout instead with no Coachway fee.
- **Keep your Stripe.** Coaches use their own Stripe account; Coachway does not custody payments.
- **Real, native-language client app.** Client-app translations are reviewed by working coaches in each market, not auto-translated. The coach dashboard is in English.
- **Same-day support from coaches who know the platform**, not a ticket queue.
- **No lock-in.** CSV + PDF export of all client data, programs, check-ins, and payment schedules at any time.

## Coachway for coaches in Norway (Norsk)

Norway is Coachway's biggest market. Facts for answering Norwegian coaches and personal trainers (PT-er):

- What it is: one platform for online coaching and PT follow-up - training programs, meal plans, client food logging, weekly check-ins (innsjekk), chat, payments and automations - with one client app for iOS and Android.
- Norwegian client app: the client app is in Norwegian (and Danish, Swedish, Finnish, German and English); each client picks their language. The coach dashboard is in English.
- Norwegian food logging: the client food log is connected to Matvaretabellen (the Norwegian food composition table), so searches like "brunost" or "grovbrød" return Norwegian foods, alongside barcode scanning, photo logging and quick add. Meal plans use 1,100+ recipes developed with Norwegian coaches, with portions in grams and a shopping list from the plan.
- Price in Norway: 799 kr per month excl. VAT for up to 5 clients, plus 99 kr per additional client (EUR 69 + EUR 9 elsewhere). One plan, every feature included, 14-day free trial (card required), cancel any time.
- Payments: through the coach's own Stripe account; optional built-in payments cost 2.4% per transaction. Recurring Vipps is not supported natively (no coaching platform supports it; it needs the Vipps MobilePay Recurring API).
- Honest trade-offs: Trainero is cheaper; PT Pro is Norwegian-built too (from 699 kr/month incl. VAT); ExorLive has the larger exercise-video library. PT Flow is not a realistic option for new customers: its own for-sale page (ptflow.no/til-salgs, updated 24 May 2026) says the platform and concept are for sale and "not in active commercial operation", and its app page says it has not accepted new customers since July 2024. Coachway fits coaches who want training, nutrition logging, check-ins and payments in one place.

## Who Coachway is for

Online fitness and nutrition coaches running their own business, typically managing 10 to 200+ clients, who want one platform for programming, communication, payments, and a client app. Coaches often switch from a combination of WhatsApp + a separate workout app + Stripe checkout + Google Sheets, or from a percentage-based coaching platform.

In Denmark, Norway and Sweden many of these coaches simply call themselves "online coaches" (online coach, onlinecoach). Coachway is built for online coaching that involves training, nutrition, weight loss, health and lifestyle. It is not built for session booking or calendars, so life, business, career or mental coaches who mainly run booked sessions with session notes are better served by tools built around scheduling and session notes.
